Day 1: Rio De Janeiro: Arrival
Upon arrival at Rio Airport, we welcome you and transfer you to your hotel, in one of Rio's famous beachside districts, where you will have free time to unwind after your flight.
Day 2: Rio: Full day Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcavado Tour: Lunch Included
Today we visit the city’s most famous attraction, the Christ the Redeemer Statue, picked as the 7th wonder of the modern world. The statue is some 710 metres above sea level on the Corcovado Mountain. The panoramic views of the city from the base of the statue are absolutely incredible. The ascent is by vehicle through the Floresta de Tijuca National Park – the largest urban flower park in the world. The tour includes a panoramic trip through Rio de Janeiro, visiting the Sambodrome, the Metroploitan Cathedral and the Museum of Fine Art, as well as the Cinelandia Square and the Municipal Theatre.
After lunch at a typical churrasquería the tour copntinues with a great trip along the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, and Leme (with a chance to stop and take photos) before arriving at the Sugar Loaf Mountain in the middle of the Guanabara Bay. The ascent of this 395 metre mountain is done in two stages, and the views are amazing.
Day 3: Rio De Janeiro - Cuiaba – Rio Mutum Lodge, Pantanal: All meals
Today we transfer you to Rio Airport for a flight to Cuiaba.
Upon arrival at Cuiaba Airport, we welcome you and then make the drive to Rio Mutum Lodge.
Upon arrival at the pousada (lodge), we check-in and settle in to our new surroundings.
Day 4: Rio Mutum Lodge, Pantanal: All meals
The ecosystem surrounding the Lodge is home to a known 3,500 species of plants, as well as over 1,000 birds, 400 species of fish, around 300 species of mammals, and 480 species of reptiles, including the caiman, a species closely related to the alligator, of which there are an estimated 10 million!
Free day to undertake one or more of the many activities available. Activities include: Walking trails in the woods, Caiman Tour, Horseback Riding, Photographic Safari, Canadian canoe trip and Nocturnal Spotlighting.
Day 5: Rio Mutum Lodge, Pantanal: All meals
Another day to take part in the many activities available.
Day 6: Pantanal - Cuiaba - Iguacu Falls
Today we transfer you to Cuiaba Airport for a flight to Foz do Iguacu, where we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 7: Iguazu Falls
We spend the day on a tour of the Argentinean side of the Falls. Here you can ride the Rainforest Ecological Train, then wander the many walkways that get you right up close to the deafening roar of the awe-inspiring Garganta del Diablo – Devil’s Throat!
We return to the hotel where we spend the night.
Day 8: Iguacu Falls
We visit the Brazilian side of the Falls in the morning. At certain points, we are surrounded by 260 degrees of waterfall, all within a spectacular jungle setting.
