5 days exploring the unique and peaceful Argentinean neighbour!
Only one hour on a fast ferry from Buenos Aires – Uruguay offers many delights and an alternative to the usual tourist routes in South America. Start your tour in the charming sea-side town of Colonia before heading to the capital Montevideo. End the tour with a 2 night stay in the famous beach resort town of Punta del Este before returning to Buenos Aires.
Day 1: Buenos Aires - Colonia
Private transfer from your hotel to the ferry terminal for the fast ferry to Colonia. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. After settling in we will take a walking tour of this charming sea-side village exploring it’s colonial history and visiting some interesting museums as well. Return to the hotel for overnight.
Day 2: Colonia – Montevideo: Breakfast
Free morning, in the afternoon we will travel by bus to Montevideo and upon arrival, be met and taken to the hotel. Here we will have time to enjoy a city tour of the Uruguayan capital including Ciudad vieja (Old City), the Cathedral and Colonial Town Hall, the Port Market, Downtown shops, Independence Square, Parliament Palace and the romantic neighbourhood known as "el Prado". Return to the hotel for overnight.
Day 3: Montevideo to Punta del Este: Breakfast
Free morning. This afternoon we will travel by bus to the famous sea-side resort of Punta del Este. Arrival and transfer to the hotel for overnight.
Day 4: Punta del Este: Breakfast
Free day to relax at the beach or explore the town. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 5: Return to Buenos Aires: Breakfast
Transfer by bus back to Montevideo and connection with the fast ferry back to Buenos Aires.
