Mendoza has it all: a pleasant, relaxed city in the shadow of the Andes Mountains; gateway to South America’s highest mountain, Aconcagua; a centre for multiple adventure sports; and home to some of Argentina's most prestigious vineyards.
This short tour is a snapshot of the best of this fabulous region.
Day 1: Mendoza: Arrival
Upon arrival at Mendoza airport or bus station, we welcome you and transfer you to your centrally-located hotel
The remainder of the day is free to enjoy your new surroundings.
Day 2: Mendoza: Vineyard Tour: Lunch
Red wine varieties thrive in Mendoza's rich soil and cool climate, so today we visit some of Mendoza's world-famous wineries in the districts of Maipu, Lujande Cuyo and the Valle de Uco. We admire views over the district’s vineyards, the snow-capped peaks of the Andes acting as a breathtaking backdrop. We speak to master winemakers and sample some of the local produce.
Lunch will be in one of the bodegas, and will include wine, not surprisingly!
NB. This tour can be done by bicycle or on horseback, if you prefer.
We return to the city of Mendoza in the late afternoon: this evening, you may like to continue trying the wines in one of the excellent local taverns or restaurants!
Day 3: Mendoza: City Tour
A sleep-in for those with a sore head!
In the afternoon, we take a city tour of the tree lined city of Mendoza, admiring the spectacular open spaces, tree-lined parks and imposing buildings of this laidback Argentinean city.
Day 4: Mendoza: Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to the bus terminal or airport for onward travel.
END OF OUR SERVICES
Why not extend your stay and participate in some of Mendoza's various adventure activities from sky diving to horse riding, trekking to downhill mountain biking?
Or if you would like to compare Argentinean wine-making with that of their Chilean neighbours, have a look at our Wine Trail tour.
