Expore the wildlife of the world's largest wetlands!
The Pantanal is the world’s largest wetlands area. Often overshadowed by the Amazon Rainforest, the Pantanal is actually considered to be the world’s densest flora and fauna ecosystem; and its wide open wetland spaces make it much easier to spot wildlife (especially during the dry season where animals are easily found at watering holes).
This three-night stay in the beautiful Rio Mutum ecolodge offers you the chance to get to know the Pantanal’s unsurpassed natural wonders, while enjoying the comfort and hospitality of the ecolodge.
Day 1: Cuiaba airport – Rio Mutum ecolodge
Upon arrival at Cuiaba airport, we welcome you and then make the 4 hour drive to Rio Mutum ecolodge (set transfers only leaving at 12:30 and 17:30 PM).
Upon arrival at the Refuge, we check-in and settle in to our new surroundings.
All meals are included while staying at the Refuge.
Day 2: Rio Mutum ecolodge
Free day to undertake one or more of the many activities available. Activities include: Walking trails in the woods, Caiman Tour, Horseback Riding, Photographic Safari, Canadian canoe trip and Nocturnal Spotlighting.
Day 3: Rio Mutum ecolodge
Another day to take part in the many activities available.
The ecosystem surrounding the Refuge is home to a known 3,500 species of plants, as well as over 1,000 birds, 400 species of fish, around 300 species of mammals, and 480 species of reptiles, including the caiman, a species closely related to the alligator, of which there are an estimated 10 million!
Day 4: Rio Mutum ecolodge – Cuiaba airport
Check out and transfer back to Cuiaba airport (set transfers only leaving at 07:00 AM and 11:00 AM)
Not Included In This Tour: Local airport taxes, environmental fee ($US 20), drinks, tips.
