I write to thank you firstly for your promt replies to our queries. Can I ask that you pass on to the 'powers that be' how impressed we were with our guide on the inca trail, who was informative, patient and motivated. Also, the porters and the cook who worked so hard to make our trek so enjoyable. I celebrated my birthday on day 2 and the cook baked a big cake with such limited resources, it could not have been more special.
Many thanks and I would recommend Chimu to anyone.

I booked the Inca Trail with you and did the walk last September. Everything went well and I was really impressed with the guides and porters, meals, group size and all arrangements. Tour staff in Cusco even managed to track me down on a completely separate (day) tour to advise that the Inca Trail group would be leaving early owing to a threatened strike. I was very impressed with that.
Thanks for a great experience.

Ian and I both feel as if we've had "the trip" of a lifetime thanks to not only for Chimu being a brilliant travel facility but also your input...you who worked so hard to sort out all the details and were so prompt and helpful all along the way. We also greatly appreciate your double effort when you had to reorganise the trip.
We so much enjoyed always knowing that someone representing Chimu would be there with a sign. It was so nice to whisked away to our hotels and so often we were very pleasantly surprised at how great the accomodation was. There were many favourites..I told you about Orchideas but the list went on. The Casa Foch in Quito was not only a lovely historical home (the grandchildren of the original owners visited recently) but the rooms were roomy and attractively outfitted including a very special bathroom. The Intiqa Hotel in Puno was incredible...2 big queensize beds with attractive feather comforters (and the most comfy pillows) with a welcome sign ...a huge room and an equally big, modern bathroom. Their breakfast was the best anywhere...I didn't want to leave. And the Puerto San Julian Hosteria made me feel like we were in a Swiss chalet..our room was big with 2 windows you could open out to nice views (and also keep your wine cool on the sill)and the owner was an especially helpful and pleasant guy. For a city hotel the Los Girasoles was perfect..basic but clean with a simple but attractive dining area. Some of the downsides of both the Rio and BA hotel could easily be overlooked for their very PERFECT locations.
It was only in Peru that we met other Chimu clients (including some from England)...everyone raved about what a great outfit you are. Like us, there was always another pleasant surprise!!! I was AMAZED at how organised the local team were throughout Peru...you've got some top people on the ground who attend to every last detail and are highly efficient and helpful. I was so surprised how there never was a mess up!!!
I could go on and on about so many of our days that had such pleasant touches..Boy I'm glad we didn't take the train from Puno to Cusco...it was a brilliant day with neat stops and the BEST lunch with great entertainment. Oh and the restaurant in the Sacred Valley was soooo TOP class...a beautiful setting and an incredible variety of great food.
At present I am weeding through over 2000 photos...Ian and I can't believe the scope and variety in our trip..it was always nice to offset the hectic feel of a city with another quiet change (Iguacu Falls, the Galapagos, EcoAmazonia, Patagonia, etc.) We were blown away by the immense beauty of so many places...we loved it all.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for putting together a fantastic trip. The organisation was wonderful - always someone to meet us at the airport and the hotels by and large excellent. Our only problem was a bit of altitude sickness which probably could have been alleviated by a slightly longer acclimatisation time in Puno.
A big thanks especially to Mario in Cusco who got us out of trouble when we stupidly missed our train in Aguas Calientes!
Will happily recommend Chimu to anyone interested in touring South America (now trying to talk my husband into Patagonia!

Thank you and everyone at Chimu for a brilliantly arranged holiday. Peru is a beautiful country, full of contrast. We had a fantastic time. It would be difficult to fault you. Everyone was polite, friendly and on time. The guides were superb, especially Alessandro (Lake Titikaka) and Lenny (Salkantay). Lenny went above and beyond and it was really appreciated. The staff at Eco-Amazonia were also great and the surroundings amazing.
Thanks for the birthday cake. It was nice surprise and the cake made a wonderful treat.
Stuart and I would have no hesitation in recommending Chimu Adventures to anyone.
Thanks you once again for helping make our holiday such a memorable one.
Saludos

Just wanted to let you know that our trip has been absolutely fantastic and faultless. The service has been amazing and the places we have stayed have all been excellent with great service too. We just love Peru......loved every bit of it and the 2 day trip to the islands with the overnight stay was an absolute highlight as was the trek.....think the Lares trek is spectacular from every point of view...people, culture and scenery. We did not see one other hiker!!!!...loved Cusco too. We have really been blown away with the service and attention we have received.....not a let down anywhere with pick up, info or tours or guides.
As I understand you have heard I was very ill in Cusco and the trek had to be delayed by 24 hours. The local reps could not have been more helpful and so willing to offer options if I didn't recover in 24 hours. They even went to the bank with David to retrieve his swallowed card. They visited me in the hotel during the day I was sick and ordered special food at the hotel for stomach bugs.....just terrific.
Have just arrived in Quito today and LE Parc is unbelievable!!!
Hope all is good in OZ.....
Cheers

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all at Chimu Adventures for making our tour to South America such a wonderful and trouble free experience .The value for money compared to other tour companies operating in Australia is fantastic. All the tours in each country Argentina, Peru,Galapagos Islands and Brasil were carried out by experienced local people .On arrival in Peru our transfer driver Marcelo Rodriguez was probably the most knowlegable and helpful driver we have experienced in ten years of travel. Also, on arrival at Hotel Los Girasoles we were meet by Alberto Wirz tour company rep who presented us with a booklet containing all tour times and transfers in Peru.He was such a passionate frendly person who was amazing at his job, the only negative about the hotel in Miraflores was the distance to the ocean and shops which might be a problem for some. We were so lucky to have such a memorable day at Machu Picchu: clear skies and warm weather. The Galapagos was great, the guide and Adventurer v was very enjoyable. Our tour in Rio to the statue of Christ the Redeemer was cancelled due to landslides. The positive about the cancelled tour gave us time to enjoy a day at Copa beach ,shopping and swimming. I would probably recommend other people staying a few extra days to slow down a bit and enjoy this area .Iguassu falls was the most spectacular thing we have experienced in our travels. The tour guide and transfers were first class.
Thanks again, we will certainly recommend your company to our friends.
