Situated in the Tropical North of South America, Venezuela boasts a pristine coastline, which greets the warm Caribbean Sea and offers a gateway to the many islands found in this spectacular part of the world.
Though nestled in the tropics, Venezuela’s climate and geography varies largely, from the warmth and humidity of the lowlands, to the temperate climate in the highlands, to snow and Glaciers in the Andes.
In the east of Venezuela lies the vast, fan shaped, Orinoco Delta which is formed as the Orinoco River makes its way to the sea. Awash with wetlands and waterways, it is the perfect place for wildlife spotting.
The highlight of Venezuela has to be the spectacular UNESCO World heritage site of the Angel Falls, the world’s highest waterfall, cascading down a 979 metre rock face from a Tepui (table like mountain) into the spectacular Canaima National Park below, where you can lose yourself for days exploring and enjoying the stunning and unique scenery.
So whether you want to hike the world famous Mt Roraima, immerse yourself in an indigenous community, chill out on a beach or take in breath taking scenery, Venezuela will not disappoint.
