Travel to Argentina for the first Four Nations Match
between the Wallabies and the Pumas

Embark on a week long tour to Argentina's Rugby Heartland with former Wallaby Greats Richard Harry and Elton Flatley. For the inaugural Four Nations Match between Argentina and Australia.

Elton Flatley Bio

Elton Flatley has had an illustrious rugby career earning him 38 test caps. Elton made his Reds debut in 1996 aged just 19, becoming the youngest player to do so since Michael Lynagh in 1982. He became the youngest player to reach 100 caps for Queensland in 2004. Elton was a star of the Wallabies 2003 World cup campaign. Eltonís ice-cool kicking in the Final won him thousands of new admirers as he landed huge pressure penalties to keep Australia in the match.

Richard Harry Bio

Richard was a member of the Wallabies spanning a number of memorable victories including the 1999 World Cup, 1998-2000 Bledisloe Cup victories and the first Australian team to secure the Tri Nations Cup in 2000. Richard was named in the Top 100 Wallabies and was also voted No. 1 Loose Head Prop in "Team of the Decade" 1990-2000. During his career Richard earned 39 caps for the Wallabies.


Sunday 30 September: Arrival into Buenos Aires
On arrival we will be met by our guide and taken to the hotel in a private air conditioned bus. A bottle of water and a local chocolate will be provided for each of us to help rehydrate after the journey. At the hotel we will be assisted on check in and will then have the afternoon free to relax.
In the evening we will have some welcome drinks in the hotel and you will have the opportunity to meet the rest of the touring group.

Monday 01 October: Buenos Aires City Tour
This morning we will be picked up at 9.30am for a private five hour tour of this fascinating city. The tour explores the busy centre, including the Plaza de Mayo (where the Casa Rosada Presidential Palace is located) the aristocratic North, including Recoleta Cemetery, best-known for holding Eva Peronís grave; the working-class South, such as the famous La Boca and San Telmo districts, heartland of the Tango; and elegant neighbourhoods such as Recoleta, Puerto Madero.
A lunch time we will stop at a local restaurant and steakhouse; lunch is included.
This evening you the option of taking in a tango show with dinner in one of the cityís best tango halls (optional extra, not included).

Tuesday 02 October: Buenos Aires Polo Day with lunch (optional golf day)
Late this morning we will be collected by our guide and driver and taken out to a polo club. Here we will have a traditional asado lunch (an Argentine barbecue) and will be able to use the pool. After a relaxing day we will be served afternoon tea and will have a polo demonstration (weather dependent). Polo is very popular in Argentina and they have some of the best polo players in the world, as well as excellent horses.
In the morning you will also the option of playing golf at Pilar golf club (optional extra, not included). After the golf game we will be taken to the estancia in time for tea and the polo demonstration, returning to Buenos Aires with the main group.

Wednesday 03 October: Buenos Aires to Iguazu
Today we fly to Iguazu Falls. We have a private transfer to the domestic airport, and on arrival in Iguazu one of our highly experienced local guides will be waiting for us and will take us to the hotel.
Overnight in Puerto Iguazu, with breakfast.

Thursday 04 October: Iguazu Falls
We spend the day on a tour of the Argentinean side of the Falls. Here you can ride the Rainforest Ecological Train, then wander the many walkways that get you right up close to the deafening roar of the awe-inspiring Garganta del Diablo - the Devil's Throat!
During this trip, you will also have some free time to explore for yourself. If you wish, you can choose to take a boat ride in front of the falls (optional extra).
Overnight in Puerto Iguazu, with breakfast.

Friday 05 October: Iguazu to Rosario
After flying back to Buenos Aires, we are met by our guide and taken straight to our spa hotel near Rosario, some two and a half hours drive northwest of Buenos Aires in the province of Santa Fe.
On arrival we check in and have the evening free.
Overnight in San Nicolas de los Arroyos at the Hotel Colonial San Nicolas, with breakfast included.

Saturday 06 October: Game Day!
Today we will be taken into Rosario with our guide to enjoy the match! After the game we will be taken back to the hotel (or continue to celebrate in Rosario and make your own way back).

Sunday 07 October: Transfer back to Buenos Aires
Today we will be taken back to Buenos Aires international airport for our flight home. Those extending their tour will be taken to their downtown Buenos Aires hotel.

Please note that participation in the tour by both former Wallabies is dependent on sufficient tour numbers and should tour numbers be less than expected then only one former Wallaby may travel on the tour.
