RIVER RAFTING

1.- UPPER VILCANOTA CHUQUICAHUANA CLASS IV – FULL DAY (EXPERIENCED RAFTER)

Early in the morning transfer from your hotel and drive through the Andes to South part of Cusco to Chuquicahuana (1 hour half), here you will receive your safety talk and equipment and you have a fantastic opportunity to raft in some Class III and IV rapids. Here the rapids move and lot faster and they are constant Class III and IV for around 11 kms.

In the take out we dry off and change cloths, we will have a picnic tent lunch at the side of the river. (Toilet facilities). Return to Cusco and end of our services.

2. SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS. FULL DAY

We will bike to the town of Chequereq with an impressive landscape of Andean lakes and snow capped mountains. We have the chance to pass many agriculture field and small villages. 

Our support van will follow us all the time ready to help or bring any assistance to our group. We will visit the town of Maras and the experimental agricultural terraces of Moray.
The first part of the trip ends in Maras town with our picnic lunch. After it and some rest we follow the trail down to visit the impressive salt mines of Maras.
After a guided sightseeing we have to return to Cusco. End of our services.

CUSCO HIKING AND TREKKING

3.-  CUSCO HIKES. HALF DAY

We pick you up from your hotel. This hike starts visiting a different side of the city and also the country side border of the city. By foot and sometimes in local transportation we will go to sight local markets, the colonial side of Cusco and its “barrios� and shops with typical products. For private groups we can tailor made the visit and focus it in a special issue. After 3 hours of walk and fun we will finish the tour. Return to Cusco. End of our services.

4.- CHACAN RAINBOW TEMPLE– CUSILLOCHAYOC. FULL DAY

Transfer from your Hotel and 15 min to a place near Sacsayhuaman from we will have a great view of the city of Cusco.

On the route we will see, the local houses ,fields with potatoes , corn, barley and  llamas been driven from the highlands with their owners / typical dresses to Cusco City.

Hike to the temple of the Rainbow, where we will see the spectacular rainbow, made by a small waterfall and the sun light.
After  visit the cave, following the stream, and then hike to the  Cusilluchayoc Temple, for about two hours where there will be an hours lunch break.

After lunch we will explore the local Inca temple and caves before hiking down to the city of Cusco visiting the old part of the city like San Cristobal and San Blas neighborhoods

Finally arrive to our hotel. End of our services.

5. - HUCHUYQOSQO FULL DAY TREK

Transfer from hotel and drive through the Ande to lake Piuray, close to the community of Chinchero. From here we will begin our hike,  see the sunlight on Mount Veronica and the Vilcabamba range, as we walk uphill and then downhill over the altiplano , which overlooks the snowcapped mountains, before slowly descending to the ruins of Huchuyqosqo. These ruins are well preserved with high Inca structures made of stone and adobe (mud-brick). The good point of these ruins are that they are built on the mountain top, with clear blue skies and streams running on either side. After relaxing in the shade of the Queñua trees (Andean Oak) and taking our box lunch,  we will continue our hike across the open terrain and take  the zigzag trail down, until we meat our vehicle at Lamay, which will take us back to Cusco in the early evening.

This is a nice day where you can appreciate the local  people working on their fields, the children playing in their adobe houses a nice relaxing hike .

6.- OLLANTAYTAMBO-CACHICCATA QUARRY. FULL DAY TREK

Early in the morning  transfer from hotel and make our way through the Andes  to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the route  we will have clear views of the  Urubamba range, and the potatoes fields . We will stop at the Inca town Ollantaytambo where  there is an optional visit before beginning the hike to the Inca bridge by the Vilcanota river. Hiking we will pass along an old Inca trail  until we will arrive to the foot of one of the most important mountains in this area. Mount Veronica and its community called Apu Buena Negra , here we will have the opportunity to see the Quary of  Cachiccata  and the many stones that are carved  and transported to Ollantatambo , appreciate the  techniques that are employed  to carve these stones. We will have also a great view of the Pyramid of Pakaritampu, based around the agriculture terraces that lie below the town of  Ollantaytambo . Box lunch and after hike  down hill enjoying the great views of the Sacred Valley. Return to Cusco

HORSEBACK RIDING

7. ARCHEOLOGICAL TOUR/CUSCO SOURROUND. HALF DAY (CRIOLLOS HORSES)

Horse back ride visiting the mysterious remains that surround city of Cusco.

Transfer from your hotel, 20 minutes ride to where we mount our horse. Ride lasts 2 ½ hours, passing through fields, houses and a great overview of Cusco citadel. Return to Cusco.
