At 7am yesterday, Air New Zealand flight NZ30 touched down in Buenos Aires, Argentina marking the first arrival of the first commercial Air New Zealand flight between Auckland and Buenos Aires. Onboard this landmark first flight were Air New Zealand ambassador, all blacks legend Richie McCaw as well as Associate minister of tourism Paula Bennett who were greeted on arrival by Argentine tango dancers.
The New Zealand national carrier will fly 3 times weekly between the two cities using a Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
The aircraft will be equipped with Air Nz’s revolutionary “sky couch” in economy which is another first on board an aircraft flying to South America.
