Press release: Chimu and PONANT Launch Arctic 2021 Cruises with Exclusive Offers

Arctic 2021: Exclusive €300 per person onboard credit per person on all PONANT voyages, some discounted by up to 30%.

Sydney. Tuesday 13th August 2019.

Latin America and Polar specialists, Chimu Adventures, are working with the highly luxurious cruise liner, PONANT, to offer clients an exclusive €300 per person onboard credit on all PONANT cruises when booked between now and 31st August 2019. PONANT is also offering up to 30% off specific voyages when confirmed by this date. The exclusive offer of €300 onboard credit per person has been agreed between Chimu and PONANT as part of Chimu’s 15th birthday celebrations.

As Australia’s largest polar wholesaler, Chimu is delighted to combine their expert Arctic and Antarctic knowledge with such a prestigious cruise company. To help agents sell this luxury product, Chimu have created a dedicated landing page which will feature the discounted PONANT expeditions and a Marketing Pack of educational videos and other selling tools.

The exclusive offer of €300 onboard credit per person is available on various departures and ships from PONANT’s deluxe fleet (seven of which operate in the Arctic), including their incredible new Hybrid Luxury Polar Exploration Vessel, Le Commandant Charcot. Set to launch in 2021, this pioneering vessel has been built to high environmental standards: it uses a hybrid electric power of battery power and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and has a PC2 Polar Class certification, allowing passengers to visit rarely seen areas with minimised impact.

Two internationally renowned architecture and design companies have designed the interior – Jean-Philippe Nuel and Wilmotte & Associes – and it reflects the natural environment the ship will visit through the use of stone, leather and wood. It has just 135 staterooms, of which 31 are suites with balconies and outside views, an indoor pool, sauna and well-being area and two restaurants.

As anticipated, there has already been a huge amount of interest in voyages aboard this new vessel, particularly the geographical North Pole trips which are very likely to sell out.

PONANT’s signature French trademark of deluxe service and design is present throughout the entire fleet of their mega yachts. Guests can expect refined personal attention, luxurious furnishings, and exquisite French gastronomy and wine – all of which promote a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere

In addition to the Arctic discounts and exclusive onboard credit deal, PONANT are also offering up to 30% off cruises to Antarctica and Latin America. 11 days exploring the ethereal Antarctic Peninsula starts from AU$8096 and 13 days discovering the jewels of Latin America between Guatemala and Peru begins at AU$5600.

Chimu’s Destination Specialists have travelled extensively in the polar regions and Latin America. Their detailed knowledge of PONANT’s expeditions allows them to talk clients through the various options. Discounts will be dependent on availability with the highest discounts selling out quickly, so early booking is paramount. All deals will end on 31st August 2019.
