Arrival and departure in Ushuaia

We strongly advise you to book at least one night's pre-accommodation in Ushuaia in the case of flight delays. For your convenience we have pre-cruise packages in Ushuaia available. See below for more information. Please contact your booking agent to discuss accommodation and flight options. On the day of disembarkation we highly recommend that you book your flights to depart Ushuaia after 12 noon. Please be aware that we will not be held responsible for the late arrival of the ship from your voyage.

A pre-departure briefing will be held at our joining hotel in Ushuaia the evening prior to embarkation at our joining hotel. Fuel Surcharges

Please note that your cruise booking may be subject to fuel surcharges should world oil prices increase significantly prior to the time of your departure. Cruise operators do attempt to factor this price into your tour cost. However, unexpected rises in the cost of marine fuel can result in a fuel surcharge that will depend on the cost of oil per barrel and the individual ship operator. By booking a tour with us, you agree that this may be the case with your booking. You will be advised of any surcharge once we have been notified of the surcharges from the cruise operator if this situation arises.


International Flights to meet your cruise

International flights to join your Antarctica cruise will be available for booking approximately 11 months, Prior to tour departure date. Please contact your booking agent to discuss flight options available for your travel arrangements. Please see below for some suggestions on pre and post cruise itinerary options in South America.


Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is compulsory for all travellers and policy details must be provided prior to your final documentation being issued. We strongly recommend you obtain a policy for the level of cover at the time of booking you are comfortable with ensuring it meets our minimum guidelines. International Maritime Regulations require that we create a manifest for each expedition. To fulfil our obligation certain information is required. Below are a few forms that will need to be completed. Forms will be made available approximately 6 months prior to departure and must be returned NO MORE THAN 100 days prior to departure. You will be notified by your booking agent once these forms are available.    
ALL passengers must complete:

✔ Traveller Cruise Contract & Zodiac Waiver Form-  available NOW. Please CLICK HERE to download
✔ Expedition Jacket Form available NOW. Please CLICK HERE to access more information about the expedition jacket provided for this voyage and submit your required size.
Based on the information provided some passengers may be required to complete additional forms.
- Medical Details Form - may be required by passengers with pre-existing medical conditions. Please contact your booking agent.
- Pregnancy Form – required by all pregnant passengers. Please CLICK HERE  to view
- Kayaking & Snowshoeing Waiver Forms - required by all travellers confirmed for these activities, to fill on board
- Child Waiver Form - required by all Guardians of children under 18 years of age at time of travel. Please CLICK HERE  to view


The following activities are available on this voyage subject to availability:
- Kayaking in the far-flung corners of the world is an experience guaranteed to refresh your soul. Paddling in small groups, you'll glide between ice floes, brash ice and icebergs dotted with wildlife. Previous kayaking experience is required.  US$750 per person
- Snowshoeing is a unique way to explore Antarctica. Snowshoeing makes walking up gentle slopes a breeze, allowing you to explore places others struggle to reach in boots alone. US$350 per person
