ITINERARY

DAY 1-3 - QUITO
Enjoy a four day exploration of Quito, the capital city of Ecuador. During your visit you will take a tour of the city’s historical centre where you will enjoy its colonial architecture, churches and Incan heritage. You will also enjoy a range of experiences like market visits, empanada/ ice cream making, working with an and a visit to the stunning Cotopaxi Volcano.

DAY 4-7 - AMAZON
Head into the Ecuadorian Amazon to stay at the luxurious La Selva Lodge. Tastefully appointed, spacious and incredibly comfortable, this ecolodge is an adventure from the very beginning as you are transferred from the high altitudes of Quito down into the the Amazon basin and deep into the rainforest. You'll be greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who will look after you for the entirety of your stay. Enjoy a multitude of trails where your guides will show you local wildlife, spend time on canoes exploring the lake and surrounds climb to the top of the canopy to spot some of the many exotic Amazonian birds and visit the local village to learn about life in the lungs of our planet, the Amazon.
The food at La Selva is second to none, created from local produce, the chef's stop at nothing to showcase their talents and there's nothing better after a day exploring the Amazon than to kick back with a cocktail and marvel at the sight before you, as the lodge offers uninterrupted views of pure, raw, incredible nature.

DAY 7-8 - QUITO
Stay overnight in Quito before your flight to the San Cristobal in the Galapagos Islands to board your vessel, M/C Elite.

DAY 8-14 GALAPAGOS ISLANDS
The Galapagos is a wildlife enthusiasts dream. You will sail onboard the 16 passenger, luxurious ship - Elite. Exploring the Eastern and Western Islands will allow you to see a variety of topography and a mix of flora and fauna. See a wide range of birds, giant tortoises, turtles, sea lions and perhaps even sharks or whales. You will visit Sierra Negra, one of the most active volcanoes in the Galapagos and head up to see the huge caldera. You'll also head to a giant tortoise breeding centre, which plays an important part in conservation of these fascinating and endemic creatures.
Enjoy a range of activities such as stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling and panga rides and 2 landings a day (subject to weather conditions*)
