Outdoor adventures are my drive in life. Most of my adult life has been shaped by my passion for nature, which has led me to incredible places around the globe.
I've travelled through the bleak scenery of the Scottish Highlands in winter and spent lush summers in the sub-tropical Canary Islands, but I still prefer to dwell in icy grounds. Some of my most remarkable memories come from my travels hiking the GR-11 in the snowy Pyrenees, exploring the Canadian Arctic tundra in Devon Island, sailing the waters in Antarctica, and hiking the windy snow-peaked mountains of Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia.
You might see a pattern there: yes, I love hiking, nature and getting to know new places from the point of view of the local community.
And don't get me wrong, I also enjoy the cosmopolitan comforts and appeals. I love to get lost in the small alleys of the big cities, learn about the culture and history of the place and enjoy the local fare and wine. Think of the streets of La Boca in Buenos Aires with the mix of football (soccer) fans and tango dancers in the street. Think of tacos at a local joint in Mexico City. Think of soaking the rich cultural heritage in La Plaza de Armas in Cusco — I've loved all of these travel moments.
For over 15 years, I have been helping travellers experience life-changing landscapes, take trips of a lifetime and participate in epic activities in the most beautiful places in the world.
I'm excited to be part of the Chimu team, using my expertise in the Polar regions and Latin America to take you on the trip of a lifetime.
