Please contact your booking agent to discuss flight options, accommodation and touring in your arrival city. We strongly recommend you arrive one day prior to the start date of your tour.

Disembarkation and Departure
Please refer to your Confirmed Itinerary for details on the final day. Please ensure you consult with your booking agent on the minimal connection times between the end point of your tour and departing flights. Please be aware that we will not be held responsible for the late arrival of your voyage.

Fuel Surcharges
Please note that your cruise booking may be subject to fuel surcharges should world oil prices increase significantly prior to the time of your departure. Cruise operators do attempt to factor this price into your tour cost. However, unexpected rises in the cost of marine fuel can result in a fuel surcharge that will depend on the cost of oil per barrel and the individual ship operator. By booking a tour with us, you agree that this may be the case with your booking. You will be advised of any surcharge once we have been notified of the surcharges from the cruise operator if this situation arises.

International Flights to meet your cruise
International flights to join your Antarctica cruise will be available for booking approximately 11 months prior to tour departure date. Please contact your booking agent to discuss flight options available for your travel arrangements. Please see below for some suggestions on pre and post cruise itinerary options in South America.

Travel insurance is compulsory for all travellers and policy details must be provided prior to your final documentation being issued. We strongly recommend you obtain a policy for the level of cover at the time of booking you are comfortable with ensuring it meets our minimum guidelines. For more information on Travel Insurance please refer to the Antarctica Travellers Guide below or contact your booking agent.

International Maritime Regulations require that all passenger information is collected and a manifest is kept for each expedition. To fulfill these obligations, certain information is required from you. Some forms can be submitted directly online.

Challenge your inner explorer and experience everything that Antarctica has to offer with a diverse range of optional excursions.

Approximately 6 months prior to your cruise you will receive detailed information about the excursions programme and pre-bookable on-board programmes that are available for your cruise. To confirm these activities forms must be completed and returned. It is recommended to pre-book the excursions and on-board programmes due to limited availability and we urge you to do this quickly to avoid disappointment. The programmes can be pre-booked 4 weeks prior to departure at the latest. Some Activity Options incur and additional fee. If you have any queries please contact your booking agent.

Your Hurtigruten Wind and Waterproof Jacket is provided to you complimentary the first day after embarkation and is yours to keep. Please be aware this is not a fleece jacket, so some thermal clothing is required beneath the jacket. We have an enormous variety of jacket sizes, but it’s not possible to pre-book any specific size.
