What the B Corp Certification Process Involves
Becoming a B Corp is a rigorous journey, not a one-off achievement. The process includes:
B Impact Assessment: We undergo a comprehensive review of our impact across Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers.
Verification: Our evidence is submitted and reviewed by B Lab’s independent team.
Transparency: Our impact profile is published in the public B Corp Directory for anyone to view.
Recertification: Every three years, we must demonstrate ongoing improvement as standards evolve.
Our Certification Journey
We started our B Corp journey in 2023, knowing it wouldn’t be quick or easy. Becoming certified usually takes more than a year, and that’s because it goes far beyond a checklist — it’s about changing how a business thinks and operates.
For us, that meant digging into every corner of our business: updating policies, collecting new data, strengthening supplier standards, and even changing our legal structure to reflect our responsibility to all stakeholders. After years of preparation and a 6-month review by B Lab, we reached certification — a milestone that validates the progress we’ve made and sets the bar for what comes next.
The process pushes us to improve systems, strengthen processes, and deepen transparency in how we measure, verify, and improve our social and environmental performance.

Our B Corp journey has led to tangible changes across our business:
Evolving our policies: We’ve strengthened our approach to people, culture, environment, and supply chain management.
Supporting our team: We’ve launched new initiatives to better support our staff, recognising them as key stakeholders in our impact.
Impact reporting: We track and review our impact annually to measure progress, guide future goals, and hold ourselves accountable.
Climate action: We continuously improve our climate programs, calculating and offsetting emissions, and piloting new initiatives.
Community engagement: Our impact extends through our MAD Project, a registered, not-for-profit organisation, annual NFP partnerships, and staff volunteering—supporting community wellbeing, science, and conservation.

Every three years, we undergo recertification, ensuring our roadmap, policies, and actions continue to evolve, to strengthen our performance.
