“The best thing about travelling through Latin America is the unbelievable experiences you can have on a daily basis that you just can’t find anywhere else in the world. Such as when I hiked a volcano just outside of Antigua in Guatemala. As we got close to the top we realised that there was actually lava slowly flowing out of it. Instead of being told to evacuate straight away as would be the case in any western country, I got handed a long stick and got told to go poke it in the flowing lava. It was surreal.”

On my first trip through Latin America I drove from Los Angeles to San Jose in Costa Rica, going through Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica on the way. This took 3 months and was the biggest adventure I have ever had. Then after that I flew to South America seeing Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil for another 3 months. I thought it couldn’t get any better than Central America, but South America blew me away. Since this trip I have gone back to see Patagonia as well as doing an Antarctic Peninsula Cruise, this is by far the best destination I have travelled to in the world. instead of trying to fumble through words, check out my video below.  Like many people who have travelled to Antarctica I have caught the bug and can’t wait to go back.

My Most recent trip was to the Arctic, specifically doing a cruise from Spitsbergen across to Greenland exploring all the extensive fjords and an Inuit community then finishing in Iceland. My favourite memory of this trip was lying on my back on the deck in front of the bridge on the ship at 1am in the morning watching the Northern Lights dance in the sky above.

I find that the people who wish to travel to Latin America want to get out of there little comfort bubble and truly have some unique and amazing experiences. I love working with these like minded people and booking them on a trip of a lifetime.

Top Travel Picks: Ecuador & Galapagos: It’s a country I still have not been too but can’t wait to hopefully get there soon. Combining both Ecuador and Galapagos would give you such a diverse range of experiences, from walking through cobblestone streets in the World Heritage Listed Historic Quarter of Quito, venturing out to see the impressive Cotopaxi Volcano sitting 5,897m above sea level, then coming back down to the ocean to snorkel with Seals and Iguanas on a remote cove of an island in the Galapagos. Travel is all about collecting those different experiences that all shape the person you are.
