Most Antarctic Peninsula Fly Cruise expeditions are around 8-10 days in total.
Generally, you'll first fly to King George Island, part of the South Shetland Islands, and there you will board your Antarctic vessel.
In traditional Antarctic expedition cruising, you'll sail across the Drake Passage in each direction to visit the Antarctic Peninsula. A Fly Cruise allows you to skip the Drake, flying in one or both directions and instead boarding your ship directly in Antarctica.
It usually takes two full days to cross the Drake Passage by ship, so flying across in just a few hours can be ideal for Antarctic travellers on tight schedules.
