Upon arrival at San José Airport in Costa Rica, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your assigned hotel for the night. Spend the evening exploring the city as you prepare for an amazing adventure.

Your adventure begins in Quepos, at the exclusive Marina Pez Vela, where the crew extends a warm welcome as you step aboard the Zibó. After embarkation, guests enjoy an exquisite onboard lunch accompanied by serene views of Costa Rica’s stunning Pacific coastline. In the afternoon, we set out for a guided visit to the renowned Barú National Wildlife Refuge, a protected area spanning 330 hectares of pristine tropical forest, mangroves, and coastline. This site is officially recognized by UNESCO as part of the Savegre Biosphere Reserve. During a leisurely 2 km nature walk, you may encounter sloths, white-faced capuchin monkeys, and an impressive array of tropical birdlife, while learning about the reserve’s pioneering conservation initiatives. Guests return to the vessel to relax on deck as the golden light fades over the ocean. Aboard our smaller expedition boats, you’ll navigate green labyrinths where aerial mangrove roots shelter wildlife such as caimans, white-faced capuchin monkeys, tiger herons, kingfishers, and vibrant roseate spoonbills. The experience is like gliding into a living, breathing jungle. Back on the Zibó, the afternoon is dedicated to aquatic fun and relaxation.
