WHY CHARTER?

If you have a small group of friends, a multi-generational or extended family group or are looking for a unique conference idea then a private charter is perfect for you. It offers the ultimate mix of privacy and flexibility and allows you to experience the polar regions at your own pace, with a dedicated onboard crew and expedition staff who will ensure you get the most out of your voyage. The start and finish points of your voyage and dates are flexible and we can arrange for you to fly down to the Antarctic Peninsula to make the most of your time sailing and really explore the region in depth.     
 

Some of the charter vessels we work with have helicopters, kayaks, SUPs and zodiacs. Some charter vessels can also be arranged with a semi-submersible subs and diving equipment. No adventure is too great and we can work with you around any special adventure activities or experiences that you are interested in experiencing. These adventure options will allow you to explore further afield. We work with 1A classed ice breaker ships, which can sail further and penetrate deeper into the ice to allow for inland exploration and unique experiences like heli-skiing. 

All of this is combined with the creature comforts of a luxury and boutique ship, enjoy relaxing in the onboard lounge, admire the view from your floor to ceiling windows or head up to the Bridge at the top of the ship to chat with one of the officers or the captain. You will have full access to your onboard expedition crew, who are handpicked, experts on their fields and charter ships have all of the facilities you could want or need onboard, such as a gym and/or spa & sauna. Your charter includes a full crew and all associated costs such as food and beverages and port taxes.     
 

Luxury charter vessels generally accommodate 12-18 guests. If you do have a larger group we can also arrange full or partial charters of ships that take up to 200 guests!

WHERE WILL YOU CRUISE?

ANTARCTICA & SOUTH GEORGIA    

Antarctica may be the most challenging cruising ground for any expedition yacht, but it offers the right vessel the most incredible experience.    
A couple of days sail or a short flight south from Cape Horn is the Antarctic Peninsula, where you will find your yacht surrounded by snow, ice and penguins.    
Surprisingly mild temperatures and the 24-hour sunlight of the Austral summer afford wildlife viewing is at its best. Cruise among unworldly icebergs with seals and whales, land at penguin colonies, visit scientific research stations and gaze in awe of the most incredible scenery on the planet.    
 

On your way to or from Antarctica, explore some of the wild islands of the Southern Ocean such as South Georgia or the Falkland Islands.    
Some vessels may even be able to reach colonies of Emperor Penguins that breed on floating ice, or visit the Ross Sea and the huts built by Scott and Shackleton on their quests to reach the South Pole.  
 

ARCTIC – GREENLAND & SVALBARD   

Arctic Svalbard and Greenland are only a few days sail north from North America or Europe. The long days of the Arctic summer are a time of intense wildlife activity, as these icebound lands come alive with birds, flowers and animals at a few key locations.  
 

Meet the Inuit people of Greenland, cruise fjords choked with icebergs, bathe in geothermal springs, and watch white whales cruising under the midnight sun. And in spring from April to May, from powder to corn, Greenland’s protected fjords offer unparalleled access to prime heli-ski terrain. No lifts, no lines. Ski from summit to sea on wide, treeless snowfields and down steep couloirs flanking glacier-sculpted peaks. Carve tracks where few have or will — from heights overlooking iceberg-choked bays and granite landscapes some 3.8 billion years old.  
 

Lying only 600 miles from the North Pole, Svalbard remains simply the best spot—anywhere—for viewing polar bears in their natural habitats. Kayak in bays with tumbling glaciers, search for Walrus on ice floes or hike into the tundra with our specialists. Not as cold in summer as you might expect, these islands have a rugged beauty and offer wildlife encounters that will amaze you.
