Meet in the hotel lobby for Welcome briefing. Immediately following the briefing, we’ll walk a short distance to the Mawson’s Huts Replica Museum.

4:30pm
Mawson’s Hut replica walk through and Welcome to Festival. Learn all about Tasmania’s rich Antarctic history, about Sir Douglas Mawson and his men that bravely ventured off to Antarctica 111 years ago. You will be guided through Mawson’s replica huts by the museum’s CEO.

5:30pm
Gin Tasting at Lenna of Hobart.

6:30pm

Chad Carey CO-FOUNDER OF CHIMU ADVENTURES
Chad Carey is the co-founder and managing director for Chimu Adventures. As well as steering the Chimu business in Australia and all over the world, Chad has led numerous expeditions, including several jaunts to Antarctica, the Arctic and South America.

Following the tour entry is provided to the Antarctic Festival.

Meet at Tesoro Bar in the Movenpick hotel for a cocktail.

7:00pm Gala Dinner.
Tonight’s Gala dinner is to celebrate Australia’s proud Antarctic heritage, with guest speakers and plenty of entertainment throughout the night. Chimu Zenith agents are treated to exclusive VIP tables and seating. Dress code is smart casual, and the dinner includes a 3-course meal, non-alcoholic and local alcoholic beverages and a night filled with fun, laughs and good food.

Check out from the hotel. Transfers will be operating throughout the day to Hobart airport to meet your departing flight.
