Most Australians would be acutely aware of renowned media personalities Jennifer Byrne and Andrew Denton. The couple has a long and successful history within the Australian media. Over the years, they have both been involved in many of Australia’s most loved television programs.

 

Andrew Denton is considered one of the most creative Australian television and radio forces. Andrew is a multi-Logie award-winning television presenter, having presented some of Australia’s most loved programs of the past few decades, such as Enough Rope, Denton, The Money or the Gun, Interview, and many more. Denton’s engaging interview technique and comedic wit have made him one of Australia’s most liked and recognisable television personalities.

 

Andrew Denton’s career as a television producer includes iconic programs such as CNNNN, Enough Rope, The Gruen Transfer, Hungry Beast, Gruen Nation, and many, many more. He is also credited for introducing the team behind The Chaser to Australian audiences.

 

Jennifer Byrne is a celebrated Australian journalist and broadcaster. She has worked in all forms of publication, including television, radio and print. After beginning her journey as a cadet journalist for Melbourne’s The Age newspaper at sixteen, Jennifer has become one of Australia’s most respected and recognisable media personalities.

 

Her distinguished career as a journalist includes stints as an assistant editor of The Age’s 'Monthly Review', Nine Network’s Sunday Program, Sixty Minutes, and ABC’s Foreign Correspondent. As a television host, Jennifer has been the face of shows such as First Tuesday Book Club, Jennifer Byrne Presents, and the Australian version of Mastermind. Jennifer’s impressive career also includes working as a radio host on ABC NewsRadio, a publishing director at Reed Books, and a regular guest on programs such as The Project.

 

Between them, Andrew Denton and Jennifer Byrne have travelled to Antarctica 11 times in the past. And now, the couple are gearing up for another expedition to the magnificent white continent, accompanying Chimu Adventures as special guests on our exclusive Antarctica Unveiled charter in January 2023. This will be Andrew’s seventh and Jennifer’s sixth visit to Antarctica, having previously travelled with Chimu Adventures on several occasions.

The January 2023 voyage will see Jennifer and Andrew share their passion for this destination with around 200 other passengers. Naturally, Chimu is overjoyed to be sharing the experience with them again.
