On arrival in Puno, which lies on the shores of Lake Titicaca, you will be transferred you to your hotel for the night.

Lake Titicaca

Today you will head to the port of Puno to board a fast ferry to visit various islands on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world.
The first stop is Taquile Island, where you will hike along a pre-Incan trail before meeting the locals and learning about their handwoven clothing and textiles. You will then visit Santa Maria-Llachon, a small Quechuan speaking community who will teach you their language and prepare a traditional feast cooked underground known as Pachamanca. You can then choose to kayak along the coast of Llachon. After lunch we will head to the Uros Islands, the floating islands of the Uros people. There you can see their traditional homes and way of life and choose to ride on a reed boat. We will then head back to Puno and transfer you back to your hotel.

Puno

Spend what time you have left exploring Puno before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Once the home of a silver mine, there’s many jewellery shops where you can buy keepsakes or you can take a wander along the stone tiled mall and main street of Jr. Lima.
