On arrival at Foz do Iguacu or Cataratas airport you will be met and transferred to Awasi Iguazu. Awasi Iguazi, is located only a mere 15 minutes from the incredible Iguazu Falls, nestled in the jungle foliage, the villas of Awasi are interconnected through a number of stone walkways that wind through the jungle.

Awasi Iguazu offers 14 incredible villas featuring spacious lounge rooms, outside decking with sun lounges and personal plunge pools. Awasi offers a range of excursions which focus on authentic and unique experiences developed around people, flora and fauna. These private excursions range from full day to half day outings. These excursions including forest walks, kayaking, community visits, 4WD expeditions and reserve explorations.

After a short briefing you will make your way to the Brazilian side of Iguazu National park. This site offers incredible panoramic views of the roaring cascades. Enjoy over 1200 metres of incredible walkways along the Iguazu River and watch as the iconic dusky swifts fly through the cascades as an orange haze slowly sets upon the rainforest canopy.

This morning you will depart for your full day visit to the Awasi Yacui Reserve. one of the regions best-preserve jungle areas, this national park is home to unique species of Rosewood, Palm and primitive tree ferns. Guests have the option to kayak, hike or simply relax on the quaint shores. Return to Awasi at the end of your day for a relaxing cocktail, enjoy the soothing evebing breeze from your villa and sample some of the incredible cuisine offered on site.

Awasi Iguasu have a set of activities where you can choose from onsite, allowing you to create your own personalised experience deep in the Jungle. Below are suggested options you may like to choose from through-out your stay.

In the morning you will explore the Alto Parana River. On a motorboat, you will visit the secluded Yasi waterfall and have the opportunity to swim in one of the largest rivers in the region. Enjoy a hike through the incredible Atlantic rainforest or relax on the shore with a delicious gourmet picnic.

In the afternoon you undertake a cultural experience and visit the local Guarani Tribes. These tribes are native to the land and have lived in the region for thousands of years. You will visit the Yasy Pora settlement, located just 10 minutes away from Awasi Iguazu, where you may learn about the history and beliefs of this quaint culture. You may also have the unique opportunity to participate in one of their sacred bonfire ceremonies. This is a truly unique opportunity to get acquainted with these incredible communities in an intimate manner.

Depending on departure flight times you may have the opportunity to engage in one last activity.

Set off in the early morning to have one last impression of the Iguazu Falls, one of natures most incredible wonders. This time you may take the upper and lower walkway circuits, offering breathtaking views and the chance to spot some unique wildlife. Depending on flight times, you may return to Awasi for one last lunch while your guide proceeds with all your departure preparations. Depart the hotel where you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.

We use local guides and office staff to both maximise local employment opportunities and minimise carbon footprint. Local guides also ensure you benefit from the intimate knowledge, passion and culture of the country you’re visiting. Whether it be our knowledgeable local guides, locally produced meals or the transport on tour, we do not use imported goods when local products are available. Awasi is built with the foundations of sustainability at heart. Each of the villas are built on stilts to minimise the physical impact on the surrounding jungle, local cultural experiences are provided so that guests can offer shared experiences with local community members.  While visiting the many national parks, heritage sites, museums and landmarks our travellers are encouraged to explore remain culturally aware and sensitive. We further encourage you to buy appropriate souvenirs and discourage the buying of anything wrongfully made or taken from the environment i.e. shells and endangered species products.
