OVERVIEW
Take a unique journey from Argentina to Chile via the Argentinean and Chilean Lakes Districts. Departing from Bariloche, you will wave goodbye to the Saint Bernard dogs and chocolate shops to make your way into Chile. To cross the border you will take a series of bus and boat rides through spectacular scenery with highlights including Lake Nahuel Huapi, Puerto Blest, Lake Frias, Peulla, Lake Todos Los Santos and Vicente Peres Rosales National Park. After reaching your final destination, Puerto Varas, you will have time to explore Lake Lanquihue and the nearby town of Fruitillar.

ITINERARY
Departing from Bariloche you will cross the Argentinean border into Chile whilst also crossing the Andes. To reach the border you will travel by bus to Puerto Panuelo and then board a boat across Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Blest via Cascada los Cantaros. From Puerto Blest you will take another bus to Puerto Alegre where you will board another cruise to Puerto Frias across Lake Frias. You will be amazed by the scenery and the emerald colours of the lake thanks to the minerals from the surrounding glaciers. Once in Puerto Frias you will exit Argentina and travel to Peulla. The town of Peulla is a nature lover’s paradise with a broad array of activities such as horse riding, canopying and four-by-four safaris. The rest of the day is free for you to explore.
Today you will depart Peulla, travelling by boat and then by road to Puerto Varas. Your boat ride takes you on Lake Todos Los Santos, one of Chile’s most beautiful lakes.
Travel by bus along the shores of Lake Llanquihue, you will arrive in Puerto Varas. Known as ‘La Ciudad de las Rosas’ or ‘The City of Roses,’ Puerto Varas is characterised by traditional German architecture, manicured gardens and the pristine lakeside scenery. A prime location for adventure sports, visitors can enjoy kayaking, sailing, rafting, fishing and sailing as well as canyoning, rock climbing and mountain biking.
Further around Lake Llanquihue is the city of Frutillar, the location of today’s half day excursion. Enroute you will stop in the town of Llanquihue to visit a Memorial for German colonists. Fruitillar is known as the UNESCO city of music thanks to its year-round program of musical events. Founded in 1856 by German settlers, the city is undoubtedly one of Chile’s finest. You will enjoy time to discover its beautiful houses and gardens, shop for souvenirs and take in magnificent views of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanos. There’s also the opportunity to visit the German Museum, which chronicles the life of the early settlers of Fruitillar.
You will be transferred to the airport in Puerto Montt to fly to your next destination.
