Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa sits on a bluff where the South American pampa meets Lake Sarmiento. The building is immersed in the landscape and emerges from the hillside. The award winning architecture complements the flow of the geology in this privileged location and showcases the magnificent views of the Torres del Paine National Park, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978.
Inside, wood clad walls emanate warmth, safety and protection – a cozy hideaway after a day spent discovering the amazing Patagonian outdoors. The essence of the interior decoration mirrors the design of our sister hotel, Tierra Atacama and here, as there, furnishings and textiles were hand made by Chilean craftspeople, using natural materials from the region, high quality workmanship and inspiration from the surrounding estancias as well as the influence of the native Tehuelche people. ITINERARY
On arrival to Punta Arenas airport, you will be met and transferred to Tierra Patagonia Hotel, located inside Torres del Paine National Park. The minibus journey is just under 5 hours and takes you from Punta Arenas to Llanuras de Diana, taking in the vast Patagonia landscape along 200 kilometres (124 miles) of dirt road. From there, the 190 kilometres (118 miles) to Torres del Paine National Park is mainly along gravel roads.
On arrival, settle into the comfortable Tierra Patagonia Lodge on the beautiful shores of Lago Sarmiento and take in the views across the lake to the world famous "Three towers". In the evening you will be briefed on the excursion options for next day.
Torres del Paine is one of the most beautiful national parks in the world, famous for its spectacular scenery, fauna and adventure activities. Declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1978, Torres del Paine is considered to be one of the most magnificent, untouched places on Earth.
Tierra does include most activities but may have a limited number of “extra cost” activities, which will be at your own cost and paid locally. Note that the sequence of the excursion as well as the logistics and/or duration might change depending on weather conditions. Excursions are conducted in small groups for guests staying in Standard rooms, while those in Suite rooms enjoy a private and experience.

There are walks, hikes, climbs, horse-rides, and tours by van or vehicle to choose from, with difficulty levels ranging from leisurely to very difficult. There are half-day and full-day options, and excursions are run with a maximum of 8 people per guide, with all the necessary equipment.
For the following days you may choose from a variety of full-day & half-day excursions to enjoy the incredible Patagonian scenery and fascinating wildlife of Torres del Paine National Park.
