These samba communities all have their own distinguishing, colourful, costumes and will parade at the "Sambodromo" where people can either watch from the grandstands or, if planned well enough ahead, even dress up and participate in the parade themselves. This festival has become known as one of the greatest parties in the world. Each samba school's parade takes around 90 minutes and there is only one winner.
